On May 15 at 5:00 PM, in honor of America’s 250th anniversary, guests are invited to join a series of fireside chats in the Lobby Lounge at Mandarin Oriental with historian and guide Daniel Berger‑Jones, founder of the Boston History Company and a celebrated storyteller known for bringing Boston’s past to life through theatrical tours, lectures, and podcasts. Gather to hear vivid tales of patriots, pivotal moments, and the city streets that shaped a nation, from the Boston Tea Party to Paul Revere’s midnight ride, offering an inspiring way to connect with Boston’s revolutionary history in the very place it unfolded. The event is complimentary for hotel guests, with food and beverage available for purchase.

This is the second in New Normal's "Laugh Hard, F*** ICE" show series, pairing comedy with crucial fundraising in collaboration with Boston-area independent bookstores.

Join Dr. Katherine Gergen Barnett, family medicine physician, nationally recognized health equity leader, and trusted voice on the future of American health care, for a powerful and reflective talk on what hospice teaches us about caring for one another when it matters most. Drawing on decades of leadership in whole-person care, equity, and health system reform, as well as her personal experience with Good Shepherd Community Care during her father, Commentator and former White House Communications Director,&nbsp;David Gergen's&nbsp;final year, Dr. Gergen Barnett will explore how compassion, trust, and community can transform the patient and family experience and guide us toward a more humane and just health care system.
