Join us for a fall morning of silence, mindful movement, and meaningful connection along the Potomac.
We live surrounded by constant noise, screens, and distraction. This walk offers a much-needed pause; a space to quiet the mind, return to the body, and reconnect with yourself, nature, and others.
This contemplative experience combines walking meditation, silence, gentle stretching, reflection, and community. Together, we will use the rhythm of our steps and breath as a simple way back to the present moment.
We will begin at Radiance Yoga with a short welcome and orientation before walking together to the Mount Vernon Trail. From there, we will enter silent walking meditation along the Potomac. The practice will close at Rivergate City Park with gentle stretching and a short reflection circle.
Past participants have shared that they left feeling calmer, more grounded, grateful, connected, and deeply present.
No meditation experience is required. This practice is accessible, simple, and deeply nourishing.
This experience is ideal for those who are:
· Feeling mentally full or overstimulated
· Seeking more calm, clarity, and presence
· Finding seated meditation challenging
· Longing for silence, nature, and meaningful connection
· Looking for a grounding practice in the heart of fall
Schedule:
7:00–7:30 AM | Welcome, Orientation & Walk to the Mount Vernon Trail 7:30–8:30 AM | Silent Walking Meditation 8:30–9:00 AM | Stretching & Reflection Circle
What to bring: Please bring water and a small backpack with your essentials. Dress in layers and bring a rain jacket if needed. Please note: there are no restrooms along the trail.

Join Tori and Jonathan for another round of Full Moon Astrology & Yoga; blending astrology, chakra yoga, and meditation to tap into the energetics and understanding of the October full moon in Taurus. We’ll begin with an interactive astrological discussion where our astrologer, Tori, will explore the October 2026 Full Moon and offer insights into how this moon’s energy uniquely impacts each participant through their individual birth charts and sun sign.
The Full Moon in Taurus invites us to slow down, ground ourselves and reflect on the foundations that create true stability in our lives. Full moons illuminate what’s ready to be acknowledged, released or realigned, helping us recognize where we may be operating from fear or scarcity instead of trust and abundance. Under Taurus’s steady, Venus-ruled energy, we’ll focus on cultivating deeper self-worth through intentional self-care, strengthening our relationship with financial abundance, and embracing the beauty that surrounds us. Together we will reconnect with what truly nourishes us and create space for a life that feels grounded and abundant.
We’ll then move through a chakra focused yoga flow and close with a mudra meditation designed to help align, balance, and connect students to the energy of this Full Moon.

Who hasn’t counted down the days to an upcoming vacation, waiting for the fun to begin? But what if we didn’t have to wait for a break from everyday life to experience deeper presence, connection, and joy?
We spend much of our lives organizing ourselves around time—watching the clock, managing schedules, meeting deadlines, and trying to fit more into already-full days. Yet we also experience moments when our usual relationship with time seems to disappear. We become absorbed in something we love, deeply connected, or fully present to the moment. What if we could experience more of life not by cramming more into our time, but by changing how we inhabit it?
In this experiential workshop, we’ll consider how our state of consciousness can shape our experience of time. Through discussion, reflection, and guided meditation, we’ll reconnect with moments of timelessness, explore what allows us to move beyond ordinary “clock time,” and discover how shifting our state of being can transform everyday experiences. Ultimately, you will leave with intentions for tapping into timelessness more intentionally and creating more space for the experiences that bring richness, meaning, and joy to your life.

OVERVIEW: Yoga philosophy isn’t just abstract ideas—it’s a roadmap to a more complete understanding of ourselves and our world. Studying yoga philosophy allows you to implement its wisdom, not just think about it. This module is designed to provide serious yoga practitioners with a clear understanding of how the yoga tradition has developed over time and support yoga teachers who want to infuse their classes with yoga philosophy's timeless wisdom.
FRIDAY, 12:00 - 3:00 PM: Yoga from a Historical Perspective — The historical development of Vedic schools of thought and yogic practices on the Indian subcontinent, Vedic culture and Buddhism, an overview of the Vedas, Upanishads, Puranas, the Vedanta-sutra, and later Hatha and Tantric texts, Vedic epistemology (how to know what is worthy of belief), and the three categories of knowledge in the Vedic system.
FRIDAY, 3:30 - 6:30 PM: Yoga from a Transcendental Perspective — The origins of yoga according to the tradition itself, the underlying metaphysics and creation theory of Vedic yoga philosophy, how the basic philosophical premises of yoga compare with conventional modern wisdom, the five functions of yoga philosophy, and the way to understand yoga philosophy according to yoga philosophy itself.
SATURDAY, 12:00 - 3:00 PM: The Yoga-sutras of Patanjali — The underlying philosophical assumptions and literary structure of the Yoga-sutras, its definition of yoga, its conceptions of personhood, psychology, divinity, the afflictions that prevent us from experiencing our true nature, the attainment of mystic powers, and the experience of pure consciousness.
SATURDAY, 3:30 - 6:30 PM: The Yamas and Niyamas — The five ethical directives and the five principles of self-care, how they put values based on yoga’s worldview into practice, their true purpose as parts of the yoga system, and their implications for a modern yogic lifestyle.
SUNDAY, 1:30 - 4:00 PM: The Bhagavad Gita — The overarching theme of the Gita and its significance, the “Yoga Ladder,” the concept of Krishna, the relationship between yoga and Hinduism, the ethical paradox of the Gita, duality and non-duality, and how the Gita’s path to transcendence runs through the world rather than away from it.
SUNDAY, 4:30 - 6:30 PM: Integrating Yoga Philosophy into Classes and Workshops — How to read yoga wisdom texts, how to know when you’re ready to share what you’re learning, strategies for choosing themes for your classes, a simple system for delivering great “Dharma Talks,” how to connect philosophical ideas to poses in your sequences, how to know if you should talk about politics, and how to lead meaningful conversations about the intersection of yoga and religion in secular settings. This 3-day training is part of Radiance Yoga's 300-hour teacher training program, however, it is open to all - you do not have to be enrolled in the program to attend. Yang 24 is a short, flowing tai chi sequence practiced slowly with smooth weight shifts, relaxed joints, and an upright spine. This style incorporates basic martial arts movements while keeping the practitioner in a relaxed state of mind. Eight Brocades (Ba Duan Jin) is a set of eight simple qigong movements that coordinate gentle stretching with calm breathing. In this practice, you are moving in specific ways to bring energy (qi) within the energy lines (meridians) to bring harmony within the body. Practiced together, they feel like a blend of “moving meditation” and whole-body maintenance. You can expect to spend time repeating movements to refine alignment, soften tension, and improve coordination. The effort level is usually light to moderate, with a focus on ease rather than strain. Early sessions often bring a noticeable sense of calm and a loosening of shoulders, hips, and back. With consistent practice, many people find that daily movement feels smoother and steadier, especially when standing, walking, or changing direction. Benefits build gradually and are strongest when you stay relaxed, breathe comfortably, and practice within your current range of motion. You may begin to become sensitive to energy (qi) within and around your body. - Balance and stability: Better control during weight shifting, stepping, and turning. - Mobility and flexibility: A gentler, more comfortable range of motion in the hips, spine, shoulders, and ankles. - Leg strength and posture: Stronger supportive muscles and improved alignment from repeated standing and transitions. - Stress reduction: Lowers mental stress and calms the nervous system through paced movement and breathing. - Breath and circulation: Improved breathing coordination and a warm, “energized but relaxed” feeling. - Focus and sleep quality: Enhanced body awareness and steadier attention that can support better sleep routines. *****No class on 11/28 Saturday*****

As autumn gently gives way to winter and the holiday season begins to gather momentum, we are invited to pause and reconnect with the quiet wisdom of nature. The Sacred Pause: Resting in the Space Between is a 90-minute gong sound bath designed to create space between the busyness of the season and the stillness within. Through the healing vibrations of the gong, guided visualization, intentional silence, and deep rest, we will release what we no longer need to carry and reconnect with what truly matters. Together, we will explore the beauty of the space between endings and beginnings, between doing and being, and between the world around us and the wisdom within. Leave feeling grounded, renewed, and more present as you welcome the holiday season with an open heart.

· Reconnect with your inner wisdom by shifting attention away from external demands and toward the heart.
· Create greater spaciousness and presence as you move into the busy holiday season.
· Cultivate a sense of gratitude, connection, and openness to the people, experiences, and moments that truly matter.

Kundalini Yoga which draws from the Sikh tradition.
Sacred chants from Sanskrit.
Chants and inspiring songs in English. Written words will be provided to help you participate. When we chant in community, our collective vibration changes us, and our world.
