Mill Valley Philharmonic, Neighbor

Mill Valley Philharmonic is a well-established non-profit, volunteer symphony orchestra that was founded in Fall 2000. At the time, MVP was the only non-professional community orchestra in Marin apart from the College of Marin Orchestra, and that remains the case. Starting with 15 string players, the ensemble has grown to a full orchestra of 50+ auditioned musicians, ranging in age from accomplished high school students to octogenarians. Demand – both from dedicated amateur players who audition to play with our group, and from our expanding group of thousands of local music lovers – has been strong. Today, more than 3,500 people attend MVP concerts each season, and we are experiencing sell-out crowds.
