Richard Oshen, Neighbor

Richard Oshen is a children's book author and screenwriter living in Forest Falls. He's the creator of The Adventures of Pete the Squirrel and The Plant Girl Adventures, and his screenplay Penny From Heaven won Best Screenplay at the San Diego International Kids' Film Festival 2025. A former Hollywood lighting designer whose credits include the National Film Registry classic This Is Spinal Tap, Richard now writes stories that spark wonder, kindness, and a love of reading in young audiences.
