This workshop offers an intensive, hands-on learning experience focused on understanding monotypes, a painterly printmaking process that allows for flexibility and freedom using drawing and painting methods. Each print is unique, and unlike many other printmaking techniques, monotypes do not require a press. This process encourages experimentation with a variety of materials and methods, often resulting in spontaneous and surprising outcomes.
Gel plates add further flexibility for creating texture-rich prints. The workshop explores the distinctive impressions that can be achieved by combining these techniques and simple materials, providing a creative and accessible introduction to this versatile printing method suitable for both beginners and experienced artists.
All materials are provided, with the exception of the gel plate. Participants are encouraged to purchase a gel plate in any size that fits their needs and budget (available online). Bringing baby wipes and a smock is recommended.
A $5 materials fee is payable to the instructor. 
Please bring a lunch.

Mix cocktails and creativity for your next happy hour! Take on a creative project with one of our instructors, as you learn to play with a variety of media in the studios. We provide instruction, supplies, a tasty beverage, and plenty of time to socialize. Have fun with vibrant alcohol inks! Drop and swirl colors on a smooth ceramic tile and watch them dance and blend into magical patterns. Tilt, blow, or guide the ink to create a look that’s all your own.
Once dry, leave your tile as a bold abstract piece—or add simple line drawings to bring shapes and details to life. Each creation is a cheerful little work of art ready to display and enjoy.Members $35 / Nonmembers $40

Now is the perfect time to learn the art of calligraphy, or “beautiful handwriting.” In this workshop, you work on creating hand-crafted bookmarks, greeting cards, favorite quotes ready to frame, journals, and other projects.Participants find it to be a fun, calming, experience, and are surprised at how quickly they can make wonderful creations in this practical and excellent art form. Four different calligraphic styles are introduced: Bookhand, Uncial, Italic, and Blackletter, to provide a variety of techniques and creative possibilities, so you can focus on the styles you most enjoy.

Participants learn to create a beautiful spring wreath using high-quality Sola wood flowers. The workshop includes instruction on stemming the flowers and arranging them on either a natural grapevine wreath or a contemporary wood-bead wreath frame.
Guidance is provided on floral preparation, design principles, and secure attachment techniques to ensure a balanced and long-lasting arrangement. Sola wood flowers are durable and retain their appearance indefinitely when kept dry, making them an ideal option for seasonal décor.
All necessary materials are provided for a $40 supplies fee, payable directly to the instructor. Each participant leaves the session with a completed wreath ready for display or gifting.
