Frenchtown Bookshop

Millions of people know Pat Croce as a swashbuckling Type-A dynamo: Relentlessly brash and optimistic Philadelphia 76ers president who guided the team from worst to first in five years; sought-after motivational speaker and television personality; author of more than a dozen bestselling books; and climber of Mount Everest as a defiant response to his terminal cancer.
Yes, terminal cancer. Since his diagnosis, Pat has pursued inner peace: Leading a mindfulness sangha and traveling to sacred sites in Bhutan, Tibet, and his own Meditation Hill retreat. In his new book, "Enjoy Your Self Now!," he gathers the insights of his recent awakening path into "66 sacred shifts to instantly awaken the peaceful presence within you." In each section, he combines his own reflections with practical advice and wisdom from the great sages and mystics.
Pat will be doing only a very few public events to celebrate his book. We are thrilled that one of those is at the Bookshop ("Because," he says, "I love your bookstore!"). He will talk about the book and his life, and answer audience questions.
This event is free and all are welcome.

Madison Rose Finery

The Frenchtown Bookshop and Madison Rose Finery welcome back novelist, gemologist, and historian Anna Rasche to launch her new gem-based mystery/thriller, "The Cursed Diamond." She will be in conversation with Frenchtown's own Madison Rose Whitman, and the event will take place at Madison Rose Finery jewelry store at 22 Bridge Street, Frenchtown.
In "The Cursed Diamond," two women -- one in 1910 and one in 2010 -- are tied together by the legendary curse of the Midnight Diamond, which is said to bring ruin to all who possess it. To break that curse, Diamond District worker Jennie must solve a century-old mystery and chase a lost treasure -- a challenge that brings her into a world of secrets and danger.
This reading is free and all are welcome. Join us after the reading for a reception for the author, courtesy of Harper Collins and Madison Rose Finery.

Book Launch and Reception: Anna Rasche, "The Cursed Diamond"

Celebrate with Erwinna's own Amy Pershing on the release of her new mystery, "Mrs. Christie and the Mystery in the Mews," published by Penguin/Random House under the pen name "Amanda Chapman."
Amy Pershing has become a cherished favorite author at the Bookshop, including her warm-hearted visit to our Cake & Dagger Mystery Book Club in the summer of 2025. In her latest book, a woman claiming to be Agatha Christie "on holiday from the Great Beyond" returns to Manhattan's Mystery Guild Library and methodically unravels a twisty and mysterious murder of a guest at the library's 50th Anniversary soiree.
Elizabeth Gilbert called Amy "a wonderful and clever author." We agree. So, it's time to celebrate! To honor the new book, we will serve Christie-themed cocktails and bites (courtesy of Penguin/Random House), and Amy will do a reading and signing.
