Instead of our normal 10:00 worship service this Sunday, May 10, we have actress and story-teller Olivia Woodford joining us to perform her one-woman play that portrays the relationship between Sarah and Hagar, very important mother figures from the old testament. All are welcome and encouraged to attend, and to join us for coffee and refreshments after the service/play.

Live in-person and live streamed from the stunning Ripley Chapel, please join us for our final concert of the 2025-26 season – Solar Winds and “Impressions of Spring,” a compelling and inspiring program of music written especially for woodwinds.
Solar Winds bring music of the highest quality to recital halls and schools throughout the Boston area. The five musicians who comprise the heart of Solar Winds – a traditional woodwind quintet – are professionally trained instrumentalists and music educators. You will hear Jill Dreeben, flute; Charlyn Bethell, oboe; Diane Heffner, clarinet; Sally Merriman, bassoon. 
Repertoire includes the most demanding compositions of the modern era as well as the classics, arrangements, and novelty pieces that make a woodwind concert such an unusual and delightful musical experience. “Impressions of Spring” will offer quartets for flute, oboe, clarinet, and bassoon. You will hear stunning works from Gioacchino Rossini (Quartet No. 6, written by a very young Rossini); Jean Françaix (Quatour, witty, conversational, and neo-classical); Alyssa Morris (Brush Strokes, aural representatives of Monet’s impressionism and Pollock’s drips), and Karl Eduard Goepfart (Wind Quartet, op. 93, a student of Franz Liszt).

Movement, Rhythm + Voice is a guided, holistic experience that invites the release of tension, reconnection to the body, and the awakening of joyful expression through breath, rhythm, sound, and symbolic movements. Rooted in seasonal cycles, the practice welcomes all emotions and celebrates the vitality of being alive. Repetition and rhythm support a deep, embodied experience, while live drumming grounds the journey and connects the group to a shared heartbeat. Inspired by the intercultural approaches of Katherine Dunham and Herns Duplan, the session blends accessibility, intention, and play. No prior experience is needed. This special workshop honors all mothers, on Earth and in memory, and brings all generations together in a space of connection, celebration, and shared energy.
