I was born and raised in Michigan, but my food tastes come from recipes around the world. I really enjoy cooking anytime that I have the opportunity. I&#39;m always looking for new recipes and ways to experiment with them. My inspiration for cooking comes from so many places, but started with my Mom. She was a wonderful cook and always let me experiment in her kitchen, making a mess of it when I was child. <br><br>Recently I started incorporating more whole grains into my cooking.  I&#39;ve also experimented with other sweeteners for baking such as honey, agave nectar and maple syrup as a substitute for sugar or artificial sweeteners.  <br><br>One of my dreams is to attend a culinary school and then open a little eclectic restaurant someday. I would love to offer unique daily specials and provide a relaxing atmosphere with wonderful live music playing in the background. Outside of cooking, I love to garden and incorporate those fresh ingredients into daily meals at home. I especially look forward to fresh garden tomatoes for caprese salad and homemade pasta sauces.
