SunWest Management partners with American Momentum Bank to support accelerated growth
St. George-based association management company will leverage the bank's specialized association banking division and Vantaca integration
SunWest Management, a full-service homeowners association (HOA) management company that serves 14 associations in Washington County, has partnered with American Momentum Bank to support its recent and planned regional growth. By leveraging the bank’s dedicated association banking division, SunWest aims to better support its expanding portfolio and deliver enhanced financial services to its clients.
Founded in 2000, SunWest Management provides financial management, government and compliance, operations and resident support, and lifestyle services to the HOAs it serves. The company works with single-family homes, condominiums, master planned/large-scale communities, and 55+ active adult communities, including SunRiver Communities in Southern Utah.
SunWest Management currently manages more than 1,000 homes and is expected to add 4,500 more when the Firelight Master Association in Toquerville, Utah, is complete. With a large number of HOAs under its umbrella, SunWest leaders realized that the community bank they previously worked with was no longer able to provide the level of service they needed.

“Changing state and federal requirements have made it extremely difficult for management companies to effectively oversee bank accounts for tens or hundreds of association clients at one time,” said Joseph Brimer, CMCA, AMS, PCAM, general manager of SunWest Management. “That, partnered with our desire for general growthand taking our resident-experience-first mindset to new markets across the state, had us looking for a new bank who could better suit our needs.”
SunWest Management connected with American Momentum Bank and realized very quickly that the bank’s association management division was a good fit for them.

“The biggest thing that stood out to us about American Momentum Bank was that they already have a process in place to support association management companies,” said Brimer. “Because they have a dedicated association management division, their offerings are better suited to the operational realities our boards are facing with heightened reserve requirements and inflationary pressures.”
American Momentum Bank provides specialized banking services for HOAs and HOA management companies through its association banking division. The bank offers a variety of competitive deposit products and specialized lending programs for capital improvements.
SunWest Management will operate on Vantaca, an AI-first platform purpose-built for community association management. Vantaca combines intelligent automation, integrated payments, and resident-facing tools to provide management companies complete operational visibility across accounting, communications, and daily workflows. Through Vantaca's partnership with American Momentum Bank, SunWest gains integrated banking, payment processing, vendor verification, and document management, all within a single connected ecosystem.
With Vantaca, SunWest is positioned to scale without adding operational complexity. Brimer and his team can redirect time from manual processes to what matters most: working directly with homeowners and boards.
“The personal experience is something we don’t want to sacrifice, and with Vantaca, we don’t have to,” said Brimer. “Vantaca supports back-end automation so we can focus on what matters – connecting with our associations and homeowners and getting out in the community. It’s also increased transparency with our boards, where they now have a better understanding of what goes into running an HOA and a greater appreciation of our team.”
“We’re thrilled to welcome SunWest Management to the American Momentum Bank family,” said Andrew Vera, vice president of association banking at American Momentum Bank. “SunWest is a well-known brand that is poised for substantial growth in the coming years. We’re honored to come alongside them and support that growth with personalized banking services.”
Several of the associations SunWest serves have also connected with American Momentum Bank for additional banking needs – from opening Certificate of Deposit (CD) accounts to discussing loan options to cover community improvements.
“It’s been a fantastic relationship thus far,” said Brimer. “They check in on us to see how we’re doing, and are able to work with us to support our processes and also make adjustments to best support all of our associations. They are so accommodating – to us and our associations.”
