• Brutal summer has Utah farmers hoping El Niño brings gift of wet weather (fox13now.com) — Farmers in Centerfield and across central Utah are coming off one of their driest, most difficult growing seasons in memory, with wells and springs running low and fields left unplanted. A recent slow, soaking rain offered some relief, and local growers are now pinning their hopes on a potentially strong El Niño to rebuild snowpack and recharge both surface and groundwater for next year.
