• Utah doctor, nurses charged with healthcare fraud after allegedly submitting false claims to Medicare and receiving $29M in payout (abc4.com) — A Highland-based podiatrist and his medical companies are at the center of a federal case alleging $29 million in improper Medicare payments tied to wound-care products. Prosecutors say the doctor, who operated Amble Medical in Highland and clinics statewide, and two nurses billed for medically unnecessary skin substitute treatments. Their first court appearance is set for June 8 in St. George.
