• SWAT, tear gas used to capture wanted Arizona fugitive in southern Utah (ksl.com) — A wanted man from Arizona was arrested in Hildale after a tense standoff in a local home that drew SWAT officers and tear gas. Police say the suspect fled through a yard, hid in an attic, then fell through the ceiling before being taken into custody with a handgun recovered at the scene, raising safety concerns for nearby residents. 
• Reach Foundation awards $10,000 grant to Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Utah (stgeorgeutah.com) — A new Habitat for Humanity project in Hildale just received a $10,000 boost from the Reach Foundation to help launch a six-home affordable development.
