• Summit County woman dies in avalanche in Himalaya Mountains (kpcw.org) — A Summit County woman who co-ran the Kamas-based guiding company Dash Adventures has died in an avalanche while descending Makalu, the world’s fifth-highest peak. Her partner and co-owner David Ashley survived with injuries, and shared that she died in his arms high on the mountain, leaving a significant loss for the local outdoor community.
