Locals describe how box-only service and closed rural post offices force long drives but also create a hub where errands and mail pickup happen together. Federal postal officials have not yet responded to questions about possible alternatives.

• President McIff Hosts Student Leadership Dinner (snowcollegenews.com) — Student leaders from Snow College's Richfield and Ephraim campuses recently gathered with President McIff to kick off the 2026–27 school year and strengthen collaboration. The dinner emphasized that students are the college's focus and highlighted how groups like Ambassadors, Peer Mentors, and Wellness Advocates will support campus life. Richfield students are encouraged to get involved and use these resources.

• Lady Dino volleyball can't keep Cougars in check (castlecountryradio.com) — Richfield will host the Sevier Valley Tournament on October 9–10, bringing the Carbon Lady Dinos and other top volleyball teams to town. Carbon, currently ranked eighth in 3A, is pushing toward the postseason despite a straight-set loss to powerful Union. Their busy October schedule includes both home region matches and the Richfield tournament.
