1. Museum of Utah officially opens displaying art, culture and connection (byu.edu) — Salt Lake City residents now have a free, year-round Museum of Utah right on Capitol Hill in the Michael O. Leavitt North Capitol Building. With four permanent galleries, rotating exhibits, and over 900 artifacts from pioneer handcarts to Olympic memorabilia, it's designed as a welcoming, hands-on introduction to the state's diverse history and cultures.
2. Steenblik Park gets facelift with money from $85 million bond voted on in 2022 (fox13now.com) — Steenblik Park in Salt Lake City's Rose Park neighborhood is getting a $750,000 upgrade funded by the city's 2022 parks and open space bond. Neighbors describe how new play structures, safer connections, and kid-friendly features are transforming their longtime hangout, with Steenblik just one of 19 parks and trails slated for improvements.
3. City elections in Salt Lake City, Utah (2026) (ballotpedia.org) — Salt Lake City residents will vote for Salt Lake County district attorney on November 3, 2026, with Democrat Sim Gill and Republican Kent Davis set for the general election ballot.
