• 3 Utahns federally charged, accused of robbing credit union with hoax explosive (ksl.com) — A credit union on South State Street in South Salt Lake was robbed on Sept. 4 by a man carrying a backpack with what appeared to be an explosive device, according to federal charges. Prosecutors say three northern Utah residents planned the hoax-bomb robbery, fled with just over $1,200, and are now facing federal counts of credit union robbery and hoax threats.
   

• Tank and the Bangas Release New Single ‘Simon Says' (udiscovermusic.com) — Tank and the Bangas are bringing their 2026 U.S. tour to Commonwealth in South Salt Lake on November 8, giving local fans a chance to see the Grammy-winning band live. The stop comes as they debut their new single “Simon Says,” following their recent album The Last Balloon and an expanded, R&B-infused sound.
