• Husky Rescued After Falling Head-First Into Mine On Utah Mountain (newsbreak.com) — Tooele County Search and Rescue crews recently pulled a husky to safety after it fell head-first into a narrow mine shaft high on the mountain west of Grantsville. Rescuers used creative rigging and a makeshift harness to reach the dog in the tight opening, and the animal was reunited with its owner seemingly unharmed.
   

• Army Dives Headfirst into New Strategic Capital Initiative (nationaldefensemagazine.org) — Tooele residents should know the Army plans new critical mineral processing facilities at Tooele Army Depot, including boron, dysprosium, and terbium operations starting as early as 2027. These public‑private projects aim to bolster U.S. supply chains and national security while reusing underutilized depot land, potentially bringing new industrial activity, investment, and jobs to the area over the next few years.
