• 30 affordable apartments coming to Burlington (mynbc5.com) — Thirty new shared-equity condos are coming to Burlington's New North End, giving local families a more affordable path to homeownership. Built by Champlain Housing Trust on Cambrian Way, the Shale Beach Condominium will offer two- and three-bedroom units priced between $175,000 and $210,000, backed by city, state, and federal investments to ease Burlington's housing crunch.
• At The Box Office: 'Atonement' (mychamplainvalley.com) — A Burlington-based film critic breaks down why the new drama "Atonement" is worth seeking out in select theaters, even though its unusual three-part structure may not appeal to everyone. She highlights the strong performances and shares insights from her interview with cast member Hiam Abbass, giving Burlington moviegoers a sense of whether this serious, war-related story fits their weekend plans.
• Local volunteer heads to Florida to help with Hurricane Isaias response (mynbc5.com) — A South Burlington Red Cross volunteer flew out of Burlington International Airport Saturday to help run shelters ahead of Hurricane Isaias in Florida.
