Mascoma supports Champlain Housing Trust with $9M in New Markets Tax Credits (vermontbiz.com) — Thirty permanently affordable Shale Beach Condos are coming to Burlington's Cambrian Rise, backed by $20 million in New Markets Tax Credits and Champlain Housing Trust's shared-equity model. The project, near downtown and transit, targets households at or below 80% of area median income and aligns with Burlington's top priority of adding energy-efficient, all-electric housing while preserving long-term affordability.

Burlington man arrested for assaulting first responders in Montpelier, police say (mynbc5.com) — A Burlington man has been jailed after police say he assaulted first responders who were trying to help him on State Street in Montpelier. Authorities report he later threatened hospital staff and kicked a physician, leading to multiple assault charges and $5,000 bail while he awaits a court appearance.
