Lawton Intermediate just opened a 1976 time capsule, revealing local treasures like an old Suburban List newspaper and a girl’s gym uniform, then buried a new capsule for 2076. Alumni, staff, and current students gathered outside the school to compare past and present, adding items from smartphones to COVID masks that future Essex Junction kids will someday uncover.
