• City Of Essex Junction, Invitation To Bid, Main Street Park Project (sevendaysvt.com) — Essex Junction is seeking sealed bids by July 24 for its Main Street Park Project at Main and Maple streets, with work running from August 2026 to April 2027. Contractors can bid on site work, sun shades, signage, and custom decorative screens, with full plans and documents available digitally from the city’s consulting engineer. 
• Record-setting CVU runner named Vermont's top girls track and field athlete by Gatorade (burlingtonfreepress.com) — A standout Champlain Valley Union runner has been named Vermont’s Gatorade girls track and field athlete of the year after smashing long-standing state distance records and leading her team to another title. She also volunteers at Green Mountain Montessori School in Essex and will run on scholarship at the University of Vermont this fall.
