• Fair Haven History Comes To Life During West Street Cemetery Tour (mountaintimes.info) — Fair Haven residents can step into local history this Sunday, Oct. 4, at 2 p.m. with a free guided tour of the town's oldest burial ground, West Street Cemetery. Reenactors will share stories of early residents, Welsh-inscribed stones will be translated, and the Cemetery Committee will demonstrate gravestone care, with donations supporting ongoing preservation work.
   

• Slate Valley School District responds to ransom demand (mychamplainvalley.com) — Families and staff in Fair Haven's Slate Valley Unified School District are being told that officials will not pay a ransom after a recent cybersecurity incident affecting internal computer systems. Personal information for some current and former employees may have been accessed, and the FBI is investigating, with the district promising to notify individuals if their data is confirmed compromised.
