• 'A shock to the system': ID of Vermont angler found in CT after 25 years missing brings closure (ctpost.com) — Hartland residents are learning that the remains of local auto mechanic and avid angler Brian Canfield, missing since a 2001 fishing trip on the Connecticut River at Sumner Falls, have finally been identified through DNA. His skull, found in 2006 along the river in Haddam, Connecticut, was recently matched to his brother’s DNA, bringing long-awaited closure to his family and former Hartland customers and friends.
