• UVM opens Lyndon weather station to fill gaps in flood prediction (hardwickgazette.org) — A new UVM extreme weather station has just gone live in Lyndonville, giving local officials better, earlier warnings about floods, blizzards, and other dangerous storms east of the Green Mountains. The 10-meter tower near the Vermont State University campus will feed real-time data to the National Weather Service and state agencies, improving evacuation decisions, road management, farm planning, and long-term flood mitigation across the Northeast Kingdom.
