Higher Ground

For the first time ever, Grammy Award-winning bassist Oteil Burbridge takes the stage with Vermont-based groove trio LaMP for a night of jam-rooted, improvisational rock — a one-night-only pairing you won't see anywhere else, presented by Fiddlehead Brewing Company. Burbridge is a founding member of Dead & Company and a celebrated veteran of the Allman Brothers Band and Aquarium Rescue Unit; LaMP (Russ Lawton, Scott Metzger, Ray Paczkowski) is known for their work with Trey Anastasio Band and Joe Russo's Almost Dead.

Come experience the kind of spontaneous, in-the-moment playing these musicians are known for, live at Higher Ground on Wednesday, October 7, 2026.

Proceeds support Make-A-Wish, helping grant wishes for children facing critical illness across the Northeast.

Midlife does not arrive with an instruction manual. (Wouldn’t that be something if it did?) What it does bring is a long list of good questions—about hormones, money, sleep, eldercare for aging parents, movement, meaning. Not a lot of answers, and a strange kind of loneliness in sitting with them alone.

Second Saturdays is a place to bring those questions to the table (literally). Once a month, we gather over a nourishing, predominantly locally-sourced dinner at Common Roots in South Burlington and welcome a resource guest whose expertise lives smack dab in the middle of whatever we midlife women are often silently wondering about.
In October, we welcome Patty Tashiro, who has a wealth of knowledge about the role our brain plays in chronic pain. Patty says, "Your brain is a puppy. And she's trainable!"
This is not a class, and it is not a program. It is a table—one set specifically for you.
Your place is at this table. Come hungry for dinner—and for something more.
You can get the details and reserve your place at the table at https://sevendaystickets.com/e/second-saturdays (9-dinner bundles are no longer available, but you can still get a discount for a 3- and 6-dinner bundle!)

REV2026 Conference

New York City comes to New Hampshire this November when Nona’s Supper Club, a hilarious, heartfelt, and highly interactive new musical, makes its New Hampshire debut at the historic Flying Monkey Movie House & Performance Center in Plymouth.
With only three performances - Saturday, November 21 at 2 PM and 7 PM, and Sunday, November 22 at 2 PM audiences are invited to step into the world of the Abalafia family and become part of the action as their story unfolds.
A Family. A Legacy. A Musical. You’re Invited.
Nona’s Supper Club is a comedic, campy new musical about a New York City family-owned restaurant on the brink of disaster. At the center of the story is Twyla, a determined grandchild who is trying to convince their grandmother, Millie “Nona” Abalafia, to retire and save the family business. But what begins as a seemingly straightforward plan quickly becomes complicated by long-buried secrets, romantic entanglements, family rivalries, and one very questionable chef.
The audience are invited guests at the family’s reopening celebration, interacting directly with the characters and becoming part of the evening as the family’s carefully constructed plans begin to unravel.
Rather than simply watching from the sidelines, audience members have opportunities to engage with the characters and influence the energy of the evening. The result is a lively, spontaneous theatrical experience where every performance has the potential to be a little different.
Featuring an electrifying original score ranging from infectious pop anthems to show-stopping ballads, Nona’s Supper Club is a joyous and heartfelt musical about family, identity, love, memory, and how far we’ll go to save the people — and the places — we call home.
“Heartfelt, funny, immersive, and delicious—the kind of experience that reminds you why live theatre (and family dinners) matter. We went expecting a fun evening and left feeling like family.”— Nicole Steinthal, NS Lifestyles
“A hilarious and poignant multigenerational tale of love, legacy, and letting go.”
