📰 News we're reading
• New book traces Twin States' cultural split to the soil itself (vtdigger.org) — A new book by Windsor resident and retired Vermont Law professor Brian Porto digs into why Vermont and New Hampshire, despite looking alike on a map, developed such different political cultures. Written largely from his home in Windsor, the book explores how soil, land use laws, school funding battles, and attitudes toward government shaped each state's identity and future challenges.
