In its ranking of the 50 Best Hole-In-The-Wall Sandwich Shops In Each State, Chowhound singled out The Sandwich Shop in Vienna, a modern eatery on Church Street Northwest.

The Sandwich Shop serves the Italian, chicken and hummus or chicken and cheddar sandwiches, curry chicken salad, club sandwiches, broccolini and sun-dried tomato sandwiches, vitamin c banh mi, french fries, cheesy bacon tater tots, steak and cheese sandwiches and meatball sandwiches.

Highly recommend putting in a mobile order or going as soon as they open because the line can get pretty long, especially around lunch time on the weekends."

"The food here is delicious and they have veggie options! I've been here a few times with my daughter and I've been stalling to review because I don't want others coming to my favorite lunch spot! Sorry, not sorry. Today I had the vitamin c banh mi (careful, it's got hot peppers!) and my son had the BLT-A and loved it, my daughter had the mozzarella sticks from the kids menu and we shared some tator tots. And I had a Raised by Wolves amber lager which was super tasty. The food here is great and the staff is excellent. Go here. (But don't cause I don't wanna share.)"
