2 Displaced After Annandale House Fire
The fire broke out between a vehicle and garage door, according to Fairfax County and Rescue.

ANNANDALE, VA—Two people were displaced from their home after an early Monday morning fire in Annandale.
Fairfax County Fire and Rescue units responded to the 4000 block of Justine Drive around 2:17 a.m. Firefighters found fire showing from the attached garage and worked to extinguish it. There were no injuries.
Two people were home when the fire broke out. One resident heard a crackling noise outside the window and found the fire. Both evacuated safely and called 911.

Fire investigators say the fire originated in a trash can on the driveway in between a vehicle and garage door. The cause was improperly discarded cloth rags soaked with wood stain, which ignited nearby combustibles. Smoke alarms were working properly in the home.
Damages are estimated to be $71,000, which includes a damaged vehicle. The residents have declined Red Cross assistance.
