Annandale Bank Robbed Saturday; Police Seek Assistance Identifying Suspect

Police say suspect robbed bank near I-495 before noon on Saturday in Annandale.

Officers from the Fairfax County Police Department responded Saturday to a report of a bank robbery at the M&T Bank, 7857 Heritage Drive (see map below) according to an announcement from police released Sunday.

The bank is somewhat near I-495, between the Little River Turnpike and Braddock Road exits.

Around 11:53 a.m. Saturday, a man entered the bank, approached one of the tellers and passed a note demanding money, police said.

An undisclosed amount of cash was handed over and the suspect fled, police said. The victim did not require medical attention.

The suspect was described as a white male with brown hair wearing a brown-colored jacket, according to police. See two photos above.
