ANNANDALE CROP HUNGER WALK

ANNANDALE CROP HUNGER WALK to help end hunger one step at a time is planned for October 17.

The 2015 Annandale CROP Hunger Walk will be held at Lake Accotink Park on Saturday, October 17. Registration will start at 8 am near the Marina. The walk raises funds for Church World Service (CWS) and raises awareness about hunger. CWS works with Christian organizations around the world to sponsor programs for hunger, disaster and refugee relief and development to help improve peoples’ lives—such as providing wells in Kenya and farming tools in Latin America. In the United States, CWS responds to natural disasters and supports refugee resettlement. CWS returns part of the funds raised by CROP Walks to community efforts to fight hunger and poverty. Part of the funds raised by the walk will be returned to the ACCA --the Annandale Christian Community for Action. For more information or to participate, please contact contact Camille at accacrop@gmail.com.
