Annandale Man Crawled In Teen's Window: Police
Prince William County police said the burglary suspect entered the teen's apartment to assault her.

GAINESVILLE, VA—An Annandale man was arrested this week in connection with a May 21 burglary at a teen's residence in Gainesville.
Joe Nguyen Tien, 30, is charged with burglary with the intent to commit an assault, Prince William County police said.
The burglary happened in May in the 14700 block of Deming Drive when police said the suspect crawled in the 19-year-old's apartment window following an ongoing argument between the two acquaintances.

Earlier in the day, the suspect had followed the teen back to her apartment and began banging on her door. The victim hid in her bathroom and called police as the suspect entered the window, investigators said.
The suspect fled the scene before officers could arrest him. A warrant was issued and Tien was taken into custody on Aug. 10 after a traffic stop by Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority officers.

Tien is being held without bond. A court hearing is scheduled for Sept. 24.
