Annandale Pair Found Asleep With Infant In Unsecured Car Seat
Police say the driver was on drugs and the other adult was drunk with two kids in the car.

ANNANDALE, VA—A pair of Annandale residents were charged after being found asleep in a car with a baby in an unsecured seat Friday, April 5, Fairfax County Police say.
Around 11:30 a.m., officers spotted a car stopped in the far-left lane of Gallows Road over the Capital Beltway in Annandale. Police found the driver and a rear-seat adult passenger asleep. A 6-year-old girl was in the front passenger seat, while a 2-month-old boy was in an unsecured car seat.
Police determined the driver, Dieu Tran, 29, of Annandale, was under the influence of several prescription drugs and unknown narcotics. The adult passenger, Javis Burton, 29, of Annandale, was determined to be drunk and had a bullet in his shoe.

Tran was charged with driving under the influence, possession of marijuana, driving on suspended license and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Burton was charged with drunk in public, possession of marijuana, felon in possession of ammunition and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Child Protective Services took custody of the children.
