Annandale Woman Scores $1 Million Top Prize In Lottery
The woman joked to her coworkers that she would win a million. That joke turned out to be right.

ANNANDALE, VA — Phuong Huynh had been joking when she told coworkers "I’m going to win a million today!" Then she scratched a lottery ticket and found she had actually been right.
The Annandale woman won the top prize of $1 million in the Virginia Lottery's Double Cash Doubler game.
"We were so happy. I started shaking and crying," she told the Virginia Lottery.

Huynh had the option of taking $1 million in full through 30 years of annual payments or a one-time cash option of $610,874 before taxes. She picked the cash option.
The winning ticket came from 7-Eleven at 2001 Clarendon Boulevard in Arlington. The store gets a $10,000 bonus for selling the ticket.

Huynh is the second person to claim the $1 million top prize in the game. Two more top prizes remain unclaimed. The chances of winning the top prize are 1 in 1,162,800, while the probability of winning any prize is 1 in 3.48.
