Bailey's Crossroads Rotary Club conducts Annual "Great Assembly"
Packing school supplies for the Justice HS Pyramid
The Bailey’s Crossroads Rotary Club (BXRC) members along with Bailey’s Crossroads Host Lions Club members, Moose Lodge of Arlington, #1315 members and other community participants (more than 60 in all) packed 2,000 environmentally responsible drawstring bags with school supplies at the Moose Lodge August 6.
This is an annual event made possible through a donation of $9,000 from the Rotary Club of Bailey’s Crossroads. The packs will be delivered to schools in the Justice Pyramid the week of August 8.
BXRC members volunteering for this effort included Pres. Jim Holcombe, Pres. Elect Juanita Balenger, Polly Elkins Rosenstein, event organizers Kate Walter and Sarah M. Shannon, Dennis Shannon, Pepper Borowski, Dave Borowski, Ron Jones, Georgie Jones, Kari Kelley, Otto Reinbacher, Carl Neuberg, Adele Neuberg, Alif Brahim, Roger Hoskin, Neesa Hoskin, Gloria Garvin Rubin, Gene Rubin, David Feld, Jean Feld, Susan E Lydick, Alice Bailey, Pam Martinov, John Martinov, Meesh Peters Kevin Sun, Elise Neil Bengtson and Bonny Truong and her father. Proposed BXRC members Aidan Jones, Reem Awad and Mark Massey also volunteered.
