Bailey's Crossroads Rotary Club helps ACCA

Club delivers $1,000 worth of food to pantry

The Rotary Club of Bailey's Crossroads delivered a $1,000 donation of non-perishable food to the Annandale Christian Community for Action Food Pantry on April 27. Rotarian Ben Hester purchased the food at the local Giant Food and delivered it to the ACCA's Jean Rackowski at the pantry. There were four carts full of non perishable items specifically requested by the pantry staff. Jean was very thankful for the delivery and all that the Rotary Club does to support the pantry. Ben’s son and granddaughter provided transportation and labor for the delivery.
The food pantry operated by the ACCA and is quickly running out of non-perishable food items and is asking the community for donations. Since the coronavirus pandemic swept the area and a growing number of people are out of work requests for assistance have increased substantially, ACCA reports.
