Bailey's XRoads Rotary Club Packs Inclement Meals

More Than 20,000 meals to go to Bailey's area

The Bailey’s Crossroads Rotary Club (BXRC) hosted their annual Inclement Weather Food Packaging event at the Arlington Moose Lodge #1315 in Falls Church. This annual project delivers meals to students and senior citizens in the Bailey's Crossroads community.
Joining BXRC was the Bailey’s Host Lions Club. The Bailey’s Rotary Club donated $5,000 towards purchase of the food items for the packing. The Bailey’s Lion’s Club gave $2,400 to the event and the Moose added $600 to the pot plus use of their ballroom for packing and storing. We also presented a check for $500 to the Arlington Moose lodge to support their charities.
We were also joined by community members and local students looking for community service points. In all about 100 people came to help.
We packed more than 20,000 meals in about two hours. Proceeds from our annual Classic Mustang Sweepstakes allows us to support this and other local and International chritable projects.
