"Mostly Martha" (2001) is a German film about a meticulous chef whose structured world is upended when she takes in her orphaned niece. Struggling to adapt to life outside the kitchen, Martha finds herself challenged by an easygoing new sous-chef whose presence disrupts her routine and forces her to confront what she’s been avoiding—life beyond control.
