Haven of Northern Virginia Inc

In person, phone or on line individual support intended for those who have lost a loved one.
Haven is a nonprofit, nonsectarian community organization of trained volunteers that offers emotional support to the bereaved, the seriously ill, the dying and to their families and friends. Haven also provides education to the community about the needs of those who are grieving.
Since September 1976 Haven volunteers have helped individuals work through their grief, offering comfort and support by sharing insights, resources and techniques that encourage recovery and healing. Haven offers individual support to those who are grieving the loss of a loved one. Support is conducted by trained volunteers, not therapists. No cost to meet with a volunteer. Individual support is offered daily Monday to Friday. Please contact Haven for more information.

Little River United Church of Christ

The Lifetime Learning Institute of Northern Virginia, <a href="https://llinova.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://llinova.org/</a>, an educational group for adults over 50, will hold its next in-person Forum on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, from 9:30 am to 11:00 am at the Little River United Church of Christ, 8410 Little River Turnpike, Annandale, VA. The guest will be Chris Pearmund, Owner of Pearmund Cellars, Vint Hill Craft Winery and Effingham Manor Winery. 
This award-winning Virginia winemaker and educator will relate his experiences in overcoming the everyday challenges faced by winemakers today. Chris recently received the American Wine Society’s 2026 Award of Merit—one of the wine industry’s most prestigious honors. Chris has been in the wine industry since the mid-1980’s, opening his own winery in 2002. For more than 40 years, Chris has helped shape and educate the public on Virginia wines at the three wineries he owns and the dozens of other wineries he has helped start.He has been president of the Virginia Vineyards Association, first chairman of the Virginia Wine and Food Society, and is a certified wine judge.
