You're invited to see and feel Brian Legan's mixed media abstract narratives... These pieces are complex, colorful, and full of texture.
Join us for an Artist Reception on Saturday, February 4th from 7-9pm.
Wondering what an abstract narrative is? Here's how Brian describes his work:

In this genre of my work, it is imperative to get a natural rhythm—avoiding marks, colors, and compositions that could ring as contrived. My inner compass is to paint as Nature itself works, by its incessant gift of ebb and flow. In this way, I offer all I have into the piece and then release it (although it is difficult, because they are almost like my children). Upon releasing/finishing the painting, I can then invite the viewer (yourself) to “see” what you want to see. Through compositions of color and surface, I’ve tried to evoke a response, a memory, a mood.
In these modern times, it has become more difficult to slow down. Being still enough to take in the beauty of the world around us has in itself become an art. My hope is that you and your eyes, your heart, and your fingertips find these paintings peaceful, serene, and enjoyable.
