First Lady Michelle Obama at Annandale High School This Morning
Appearing with delegates from South Korea ahead of tonight's state dinner.
Update: 12:08 p.m. - And that's it, folks. First Lady Michelle Obama and the the first lady of the Republic of Korea, Kim Yoon-ok, are heading out of Annandale High School now. Students will be returning to class shortly.
Tonight, they will both attend a State Dinner welcoming the Korean delegation to the United States and celebrating yesterday's passage of a trade agreement between the two countries.

Update 11:59 a.m. - First Lady Michelle Obama addressed a crowd of students, local elected officials this morning at Annandale High School.
"Education is what brings us to Annandale," Mrs. Obama said.

Update 11:51 a.m. - Grammy Award-nominated artist Jennifer Koh virtually silenced the packed assembly at Annandale High School with her violin. Koh's mother escaped North Korea, was a refugee in Seoul and met her husband there before moving to the United States. Koh was born in Illinois.
Update 11:40 a.m. - Several student groups are performing this morning at Annandale High School for the hundreds of students and invited guests. The Annandale High School Ethiopian Dancers were on stage a few minutes ago. First Lady Michelle Obama is reportedly all smiles and clapping.
Update 11:20 a.m. - The First Lady, Michelle Obama, has arrived at Annandale High School. She entered to thunderous applause and singing from the World Children's Choir.
Update 11:15 a.m. - Junior Elizabeth Waugh, 16, editor-in-chief of school yearbook, told Patch: "I'm incredibly excited. I think it's going to be such a huge boost for our community and Annandale's reputation. ... It's showing we're not just another high school...we have students from 90 countries. We speak over 50 different languages. We're very educated on different countries as a whole."
Update 11:07 a.m. - Annandale High School student Annie Curran, 17, a senior who is co-editor in chief of student newspaper The A-Blast, is covering event with other media.
"It's such an amazing experience—just the fact that we get to see the First Lady, regardless of your political affiliation. It's once-in-a-lifetime experience. ... It's also good to call attention to Annandale High School and what we have to offer and how our diversity is really our strength."
The First Lady isn't in the Annandale High School auditorium yet, but several local officials are in attendance: At-large School Board member Tina Hone is here, Mason District Supervisor Penny Gross and Annandale Chamber President Gavin Dock are in attendance.

First lady Michelle Obama is visiting (AHS) this morning at 11 a.m.
According to a news release, Obama and the first lady of the Republic of Korea, Kim Yoon-ok, will visit the diverse Fairfax County Public School "as part of the Administration's activities to welcome the President and First Lady of the Republic of Korea, and Mrs. Obama's tradition of extending the reach of the State Visit beyond the gates of the White House."
Annandale is home to one of the most active Korean-American communities in the D.C. metro area. Annandale High School has close to 2,500 students who come from more than 80 countries and speak more than 50 languages.
There will be a musical performance featuring Jennifer Koh from the World Children's Choir and AHS students, followed by remarks from Obama. The World Children's Choir comprises children from different cultures who sing about a variety of topics including friendship and peace.
