Fund Created for 8-Year-Old Lincolnia Boy Killed in Crash
Brian Hernandez-Chavez was struck by a drunk driver on Sunday and pronounced dead on scene.

A fund has been established to help collect money for the family of 8-year-old student Brian Hernandez-Chavez who was killed on Sunday by a drunk driver.
Brian and his mother 31-year-old Maria Chavez were walking along Duke Street when a 1994 Honda Accord swerved off the road and struck them. Brian died on scene. According to the Washington Post, his mother remains in the hospital with 14 fractures in her hips and legs.

One-hundred-and-eighteen people have already donated to the fund, as of 2:40 p.m. on Friday, according to the wepay website.
Funeral services for Brian will be held tomorrow, Saturday, Jan. 21 at the Rinaldi Funeral Home in Silver Spring, MD. Visitation will be from 12-1 p.m. and 2-3 p.m. There will also be a Catholic service held from 1 -2 p.m.
