Girls Basketball: Atoms Face Majors in Round Two of Northern Region Tournament
The girls beat South Lakes High School on Monday to advance.

The Annandale High School girls varsity basketball team will face Mount Vernon High School tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the second round of the Northern Region Tournament. The game will be played at Mount Vernon.
The Atoms advanced on Monday night after beating South Lakes High School 68-48 in round one of the tournament. Junior Gabriella Ripani, senior Jacqueline Beathea and junior Diana Hurtado all scored double figures on Monday.
Annandale (15-9) has a tough game ahead with Mount Vernon (24-1). The Majors only loss this season, according to the Washington Post, was to the Oakton High School Cougars in December.

If the Atoms win, they will meet the winner of tonight’s T.C. Williams High School vs. Oakton game on Friday, Feb. 24 at Robinson.
