Hit-And-Run Results Leads To Arrest In Annandale
Officers had to stop the driver twice around Annandale after he fled from the scene of a crash, police say.

ANNANDALE, VA—A man was arrested after fleeing from a hit-and-run and police in Annandale Tuesday. The suspect turned out to be intoxicated when police arrested him.
The police pursuit began in the area of Gallows Road near Annandale Road around 5:40 p.m. when the suspect left the scene of a two-car crash. An officer was able to spot the car and chased it.
At one point, the driver but sped off again as the officer was walking up to the car. The officer continued the pursuit and was successful in arresting the suspect the second time.

Jackie White II, 44, of Fairfax Station, was arrested and taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. He faces charges of DWI, hit-and-run, and disregarding police signal to stop.
Police did not indicate that there were serious injuries in the hit-and-run crash.
