Leadership Program Focuses on Retirees

Leadership Fairfax Accepting Applications for Leadership Development Programs Focused on Retirees

Leadership Fairfax’s Lifetime Leaders Program (LLP) is designed for retiring or newly retired individuals based on the belief that they offer a wealth of experience, leadership, and contribute knowledge and vitality to their communities. The two month program connects 10 to 15 individuals and meets at various locations throughout the county. The program starts in September 2016. Applications accepted until July 31, 2016.

The program focuses on identifying the skills and experiences that are most meaningful to each person, while looking outward to the Fairfax County community and opportunities for civic awareness, community action, and volunteer connections.

Program participants will explore transition opportunities, identify personal motivators, clarify skills and preferences, develop self-awareness and network with leaders in the nonprofit and government sectors.
