Lincolnia Residents Escape Fire Started On Stove

Four people were displaced and one firefighter was injured in the Lincolnia fire.

LINCOLNIA, VA—A fire started at a Lincolnia home displaced four residents over the weekend.

On Friday, Fairfax County and Alexandria firefighters responded to the fire in the 6400 block of Lincolnia Road around 5:13 p.m. Firefighters located and put out the fire in the kitchen of the two-story home.

One person was home at the time of the fire but safely escaped after the smoke alarm went off. One firefighter went to the hospital for precautionary reasons, but no other injuries were reported.

Damages are estimated at $93,750. Investigators say unattended cooking on the stove started the fire. The displaced residents have declined Red Cross assistance.
