Man Shoots Fox In Backyard With Rifle: Police

An Annandale man has been charged for shooting a fox in his backyard Tuesday night after another resident called police.

Around 8:13 p.m., police received a report of gunshots fired in the 7300 Block of Byrneley Lane. Police spoke with the homeowner in question and determined he used a rifle to shoot the fox from his living room window.

Henry Brown, 80 of Annandale, was released on a summons for reckless handling of a firearm.

No people were injured in the incident.
