Man Shot Outside Restaurant In Lincolnia: Police
Police say the man had been thrown out of a restaurant when a security guard shot him.

LINCOLNIA, VA—A man was shot outside a restaurant in Lincolnia after being forced to leave it Friday night, Fairfax County Police say.
The shooting happened in the 6200 block of Little River Turnpike just after 9:30 p.m. Investigations determined the man and friends had been thrown out of Viva Tequila. Police say "the situation escalated in the parking lot," leading to a security guard shooting the man.
Officers arrived and provided aid to the man, who was shot in the leg. He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Since then his injuries have become non-life-threatening.

The security guard left the scene following the incident but returned soon after. Police will consult with the Commonwealth's Attorney on whether charges will be placed once the investigation concludes.
