Noise Complaint Escalates Into Assault On Officer

ANNANDALE, VA—What began as a noise complaint turned into an Annandale man assaulting an officer over the weekend, police say.

Officers responded to the noise complaint in the 4400 block of Briarwood Court North around 1:13 a.m. Saturday. They found the suspect, who was yelling and appeared to be drunk.

Police tried to arrest the man when he refused to go into his home. While suspect was taken into custody, he assaulting an officer and reached for the officer's gun.

Antoine Martin, 39, of Annandale, was charged with assault on a law enforcement officer, attempt to disarm a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, and drunk in public. A photo of the suspect is not available.
