The National Capital Model Solider Society held its 49th annual craft show at Northern Virginia Community College's Annandale campus this weekend.
The show, which lasted from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 11, featured hobbyists and modelers from the area (and some even as far as Switzerland) who create miniature military soliders showed off their displays of warriors, ships, armor, tanks, and weaponry ranging from Roman soldiers in the early centuries A.D. to World War II, Vietnam and more. Modelers create and paint soldiers capturing scenes from historical battlegrounds that are forever frozen and will always be remembered.
Military Model Figure modelers competed with each other for gold and silver medals. Each of the figures entered in the competition were carefully examined and judged by world renowned figurine artists and married sculptor/painter duo Alan and Marion Ball of Switzerland of www.mb-miniatures.com.
