Photos: Washington Capitals Players Visit North Springfield Elementary School

The visit by two of the players and the team's mascot is part of the Capitals Hockey School program.

Washington Capitals Right Wing Jay Beagle and Goalie Tomas Vokoun visited students at l on Thursday afternoon as part of the team’s Capitals Hockey School Program.

Beagle and Vokoun shared some of their moves with the crowd fourth and fifth-graders and demonstrated skills such as stick handling and passing to student volunteers chosen by teachers from the crowd. Following a brief scrimmage between a team of boys and girls with Beagle on the boys team and Vokoun helping the girls, the players donated a set of hockey equipment to the school.

North Springfield Elementary School is the 12th school that the Capitals have visited this season.
